This is an Act 2 quest offered by Mornay after completing The Warden.
He and and his scouting partner Elsa were ambushed by outlaws when scouting north of Devil's Crossing and he fears they still have her.

Guide
When you talk to Darius Cronley he tells you she escaped; the outlaws no longer have her.
This quest can also be resolved If you find Elsa in the Barren Highlands - she is camped by the road just over the natural bridge. She will explain that she has no desire to return to Mornay or Devil's Crossing and is striking out on her own for Homestead.
