For those unclear on what the pet quest reward is due to some information lacking for them on the wiki:
Giving the formula to Kasparov will grant you "Kasparov's Crystal" pet that you can summon, which is a glowing purple crystal.
Keeping the formula and using it for this quest at the aether crystal structure will grant you "Hargate's Crystal" pet that you can summon, which is a glowing green crystal.
