Kasparov's Experiment is an Act 1 quest which forms part of the Helping Out quest.
The inventor Kasparov has developed a prototype device he believes is capable of allowing anyone who possesses it to open portals attuned to rift gates, but he needs Aether Crystals to power it.

The crystals can be easily found around Burial Hill during the Waking to Misery quest.
