== Background == Harmond is emotionally hollow except for his strong desire of revenge against the walking corpses reanimated by Aetherial energies. His crippled leg makes him unable to take revenge himself, though, and he settles for paying iron to other people who kill the monsters and tell him the story of the hunt. When Harmond first meets a certain formerly possessed human drafted by Bourbon to fight the Aetherials, he recognizes their combat abilities and gives them a gift of iron coins. Harmond offers the Taken more coins in exchange for eliminating three former protectors of the empire turned into Aether corruptions. After the three are eliminated, Harmond offers a further reward for being told the story of their demise.Something for Nothing Harmond's attitude towards the Taken's storytelling depends on what tone the protagonist chooses to use. Feeling righteous gains praise from the broken man, while mentioning a relative lack of feelings earns sympathy for a fellow survivor. Harmond does not like moralizing and gets angry at the Taken, should they express regret at killing those who were formerly living and defending those who lived as well. The crippled widower's mission of vengeance would not end with just three corrupted soldiers. Harmond's next offer is even more iron in exchange for the final deaths of the couple who ran the boarding house in Burrwitch. These two have been corrupted and distorted by the Aether even more, and those few that survived an encounter with them spoke of terrifying mutations. Elimination of the mutated humans becomes apparent to Harmond on the Taken's next visit, and the former expresses his desire to hear the story of the battle. Depending on how the story is presented, Harmond expresses his appreciation for removing the threat and/or his hope that the corrupted couple suffered.
