Constance is a survivor who lives in Devil's Crossing. She has two children in her care, Alex and his sister Jane. Her own children died in the Grim Dawn.

Before the Grim Dawn, Constance lived in Burrwitch with her children and worked as a seamstress. That night, she left her children home while she went to visit her neighbor, who she apparently was in a romantic relationship with.
Constance, like many other survivors from Burrwitch, was rescued by John Bourbon, who found her hiding in her neighbor's cellar. The former seamstress survived the journey to Devil's Crossing, where Bourbon tasked her with taking care of Alex and Jane, two siblings who lost their parents to the Aetherial hordes. Constance deeply regrets how the events unfolded for her and her family, apparently wishing that her children had survived, but she herself had not.
At first, Constance is unsettled by the Taken's origins, prohibiting her children to talk to the protagonist. Earning the trust of this group of survivors makes Constance less suspicious of the formerly possessed human, and she tasks them with retrieving some fabric for the prison.
